About

Team

The team working on this project consists of Olga & Bertrand Paris-Romaskevich.

Olga is CNRS Junior Researcher (CR) working at the Aix-Marseille University. She is a mathematician interested in storytelling. She has already worked on a theater play, a short movie and a website on mathematics, an exhibition seems to be a logical next step in sharing mathematics with the world!

Bertrand is a photographer and co-founder of Tadaa, a french cooperative which helps people to better communicate and work together.

Support

МАТЕМАТИКА is created with the support of the Committee for Women in Mathematics of the International Mathematical Union.

Our project proudly inscribes itself into the philosophy of the Global Approach to the Gender Gap in Science.

We are also supported by the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research).

Our project is one of outreach projects supported by Marseille Archimedes Institute in 2021. Olga is grateful to the Marseille Institute of Mathematics of the University of Aix-Marseille for the administrative support and enthusiasm that her laboratory has for this project.

We also rely on the cooperation of the french cooperative Tadaa for the design (and the photographer)!

МАТЕМАТИКА is a project from the non-profit organisation Mathématiques Vagabondes (Wandering Mathematics) based in France. Its goal is to support initiatives on the interface between mathematics, art and society.
